The Victorinox patented Fibrox handles are hygienic, dishwasher safe and slip-resistant. The high carbon, stainless steel blades are hand finished in Switzerland by skilled craftsmen and feature a special tempering process that is used to produce an edge that can be resharpened over and over again. Each piece is stamped from a single sheet of metal and the blade is then hardened, tempered, ground, polished, etched and finished.

Victorinox knives are lighter than most European forged knives.  The blades are thinner and easier to sharpen.  Fibrox handles are made of a grippy plastic, somewhat like a very hard rubber.  They are easy on the hands and do not lose their grip when wet.
